What AI demand means for Australian data centre infrastructure
High-density compute is reshaping how data halls are powered, cooled and cabled. Here is what delivery teams should be preparing for.
Australia's data centre pipeline is being reshaped by high-density compute. Rack densities that were once exceptional are becoming a design baseline, and that changes almost every downstream delivery decision.
For installation teams, the practical impacts are structural: heavier racks, more containment, denser fibre counts, and far tighter commissioning documentation. Deployment planning has to start earlier and stay closer to the engineering design.
DGen Connects is building capability in this area, working alongside clients and their engineering teams as data hall requirements evolve.
